Quotient Diagnostics raises £1 million through Equus Capital
Quotient is bringing to market a system for monitoring diabetes, a disease rapidly becoming epidemic in many parts of the world. Since 2003 the company has raised four successive rounds of equity investment, culminating in March 2008 with a £1 million cash injection. The participants were the original syndicate of VC and private investors, who were also joined by a new syndicate from London Business Angels. The funds are required to take the system – a desktop reader and disposable cartridge – into production.
